How To Soften Brown Sugar

To soften hardened brown sugar, place 1/2 pound of the sugar in a bowl and cover the top of the bowl with wet paper towels. Cover the bowl tightly with aluminum foil and let the sugar sit overnight. Break up the sugar in the morning and use it immediately.
