Fable (Xbox) Review

| Fable: The Lost Chapers, is quite an amazing game and I quite like it. It is a
game like no other. Right now I am going to give you a short synopsis
of the first 45 minuites or so of the game and the controls for it.
Your charicter starts out as a boy living in a small village of Oakvale
and he dreams of becoming something some day. Sometimes he dreams of
being a Hero who goes on very honorable quests and sometimes he dreams
of being a Dark rider causing people pain and suffering. You starts in front of your house in the village of Oakvale and it's your sisters birthday and you have forgotten to get her a present so you go into town to see what you can get for her. You meat a little girl on the way who has lost her teddy bear and askes you to go look for it. Your choices will have an impact on what you become so be careful or you might end up becoming a villan. You continue into town and there is a man that has a moustache that is way to big for his face but you talk to him despite it, and he tells you that he has a box of chocolates that you can give to your sister for her birthday that will make her happy. You don't have any money though so you continue to explore. You come accross two kids and the big one is bullying the other little one. You talk to both of them and the big one is the older brother of the girl that you just met and the little one has the bear. You have a choice here to either ally with the bully and beat up the little kid and risk getting the bears head ripped off by the bigger one or you can scare the bigger one away and get rewarded with the bear and a little fame. The choice is yours just make sure it's the right one. Take the bear back to the girl and she will thank you for returning it to her and you will get some more fame. Go to your dad now and he will reward you by giving you 1 gold for each time you get some fame. Now continue exploring and you will fun across a man who desperately needs to go to the bathroom and needs you to watch his boxes while he goes off to take a dump. You have yet another choice to do something honorable or do something very evil. A kid will come up to you and tell you to quickly smash some boxes before the guy comes back. You have to stay between the boxes when he comes back but there is some stuff in the boxes that you can smash, but you might get caught. After he comes back he will thank you and tell your father about the good deed. Go back to your pa and he will give you the final coin you need for that present for your sister. Now buy that present for your sister and then go find her she will be in a small field near the exit from the town. Go to her and give her the present she will talk about a vission and then as you are returning to the village a villager will run through the gates of the city screaming about raiders. Then he is shot in the back by a raider your sister will tell you to hide and you will jump over a fence and hide on the other side as the villagers are killed by the bandits. Soon the bandits have gotten farther and have started burning the town down. Soon they reach your house and kill your father who tries to protect his family. The bandits have still not found who they were looking for, YOU! Even though they torture your mother and sister they can't get them to tell where you are. The raiders then leave taking your mother and sister prisioner. You look at the devistation that has been done and you beguin to head towards your house. You find your fathers dead body in the street and you lean over his body and cry. All of a sudden a bandit charges out of a house at you but he stops short and keels over and dies. A man then approaches you and tell you it is not safe there and teleports with you to the heroes guild. When you reach there you throw up and he tells you that you should have a stronger stomach. You make a motion to hit hin and he tells you to save your energy for when you really need it. Then he walks with you inside the heroes guild and you and him talk to the guild master. You get a room with the only other hero in training, a girl named Whisper. They leave you to get some sleep and you cry your self to sleep. As the game progresses you will be able to fight with a sword, a bow, lightning, and other magical abilities. Over all this game gets a great review from me and I hope that you will enjoy it to when you buy it. |
