Also known as Cheese Triangles, recipe adapted from "Good Food from the Near East" by Joan Rowland

¼ pound cheese
2 eggs
2 baklava sheets
¼ cup melted butter

Good Food from the Near East

Mash the cheese well and mix with the eggs. Cut the baklava (or paklava) sheets into two-inch squares and brush each with butter.

Put a teaspoon of the cheese mixture at one point of each baklava square and fold the opposite end over to meet it. Press the edges together with a fork. Butter the triangles on both sides.

Place on a greased baking sheet and set in a hot oven 450 degrees F, until goilden and crisp, about twelve minutes.

    Yield: 6 servings.
