
The American Lamb Board invites “fans of lamb” to share their most beloved family dishes in its Best American Lamb Family Recipe Contest.
The winning recipe will be announced November 17 and featured on the American Lamb website. The winning contestant will receive a Cast Iron Cookware Set made by American Lambassador Chef Tim Love and a lamb cut of choice to serve a family of 6.
Submit recipes through November 11 along with a 200 - 300 word description of why the dish has become a family favorite by email or mail to:

Robeez, makers of baby shoes and baby booties, is giving away one free pair of shoes each month for the
best photos of babies or children wearing Robeez footwear.
To enter the contest, complete complete an online form and attach a digital photo of your little one wearing Robeez footwear. Monthly winners’ photos are featured in a Photo Gallery, and Robeez’s quarterly email newsletter.
Each contest begins on the 1st day of each month and ends on the next month’s first day. A winner will be selected within 10 days of the end of each contest.
The second annual Ocean Spray Ultimate Cranberry Recipe Contest is offering a $25,000 cash prize for the best cranberry infused recipes using Ocean Spray products.
Recipes must be original, use Ocean Spray products and can be entered in a variety of categories ranging from beverages to baked goods. Recipes will be judged on creativity, ease of preparation, taste, appearance and appeal. Each finalist recipe will be featured on the Ocean Spray website.
There are two sections of the contest - one for home cooks and one for foodservice professionals.

A prize of $25 million is being offered for whoever can demonstrate to the judges’ satisfaction a commercially viable design which results in the removal of anthropogenic, atmospheric greenhouse gases so as to contribute materially to the stability of Earth’s climate. Announced by Sir Richard Branson and Al Gore, the prize is designed to encourage a viable technology which will result in the removal of at least 1 billion tons of atmospheric carbon dioxide equivalent per year. The initial closing date for Virgin Earth Challenge is 8 February 2010. If the judges deem that no design submitted by that stage is worthy of the prize, it will re-open for two more year-long phases..
